Subdivision Plats

What is a Subdivision Plat?

A subdivision plat consists of a visual layout detailing the lots present within the subdivision alongside streets, easements, and other features in the area.

What is required to obtain a Subdivision Plat?

In order to obtain a subdivision plat, first there must be a record of local zoning and regulations which will determine how the larger lot will be divided up. Following this, should the land meet the necessary requirements dictated by local municipalities, a surveyor will be dispatched to the property to determine the proposed lot lines and have them marked.

After adequate field work is completed, a preliminary plat will be proposed and submitted for review.
