Construction Staking

What is a Construction Staking?

Construction staking consists of marking or "staking" out the location of where a structure is going to be.

By accurately staking key points given to the surveyor by the developer there will be a transference of design from paper to physical points that builders will use as a guide.

Staking is not limited to just buildings, but can also be used to show the location of septic systems, foundations, and other proposed features of the property.

What do I need for a Construction Staking?

For a construction staking to occur it is necessary to adhere to both the project and local regulations before the construction plans are sent to the surveyor.

After the plans have been reviewed by the surveyor, they will then visit the property to begin staking the key points noted by the builder. Once this has been completed the construction crew will use these stakes as references during the project.
